This Cookie Policy explains how Suncliffe Spirits LLC ("Suncliffe Spirits," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies such as local storage and session storage. Together these let a site remember your actions and preferences, measure usage, and load embedded content. Some are essential; others are optional and used only with your consent where required.

2. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary and functional. Required for the site to work and to remember your choices. These include:

• the age-verification acknowledgement (so we don't repeatedly ask whether you are of legal drinking age);
• the promotional/newsletter popup state (whether you have seen, minimized, or dismissed it), stored using cookies, local storage, or session storage;
• Cloudflare cookies used to deliver and secure the site; and
• Cloudflare Turnstile, the invisible anti-spam check on our contact and recipe-submission forms — it runs in the background with nothing for you to see or complete, and Cloudflare processes what it collects under the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Analytics. Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it:

• Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage and device data;
• Ahrefs Analytics collects usage data without setting cookies.

Third-party and embedded content. Set by third parties when their content loads on our pages:

• Mapbox (store-locator map on the Find Us page);
• Shopify / Flaviar buy widgets (embedded on spirit pages for purchasing).

These third parties may use the data they collect under their own privacy and cookie policies. The homepage Instagram feed is not in this category: we copy those posts and images to our own servers, so your browser never contacts Meta and Meta sets no cookies through this site.

3. Managing your cookie choices

Where required, we display a cookie-consent banner that lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. Analytics is the only non-essential category we use, and it may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law. You can change your choices at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Note that disabling some cookies may affect how the site functions.

4. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no consistent industry standard for responding to these signals; we currently handle them as described in this policy and through our consent banner.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date.
